Wolves are not normally dangerous unless they are starving, but bears can be a problem. You will have to know how to maintain a clean camping site so as not to attract wild animals, but you will also have to know what to do if they do come poking about.

Warm clothing are indispensable for any winter activity like snowmobiling and they are even more vital if you are going to sleep outdoors overnight. If you stay outdoors overnight you will also need a very warm sleeping bag. You will also have to take account of how long you will stay away and what provisions you will need to survive the length of time of your holiday. You will obviously have to eat, so suitable, nourishing food will have to be taken with you, unless you intend travelling from town to town.

Water will not be a problem with the snow available which is very handy for re-hydrating dried foodstuffs such as packet soups and drinking chocolate, both of which are very warming after travelling all day in sub-zero temperatures.

Fuel will be a major concern for your snowmobile, but if you plan your journey carefully, you will be able to pick up a few containers of petrol every day. In this manner, ten to fifteen gallons should be enough to see you through every day.

Is your kitchen or dining room table a repository for everything that people can not be bothered to put away? In between meals does it get piled up with the post, books, school bags, hats and shopping just because people are too idle to put things away?

The dining table probably also doubles as a desk for homework and work brought home from the office. This is not a problem so long as people clear their things away after them, which they all too often do not do. You can make it easier for people to tidy their work things from the dining table by having a cupboard close by just for these things.

Try to institute good habits early on in a child’s life by teaching it to eat off plates at all times because it catches crumbs and by always putting drinks on coasters because it does not create rings on varnished table tops which only need to be rubbed out later.

Another way to deter family members from leaving items lying around on the table is to place a gorgeous runner or tablecloth on it. Then put a centre piece on the table too. This could be a bowl of fruit or a few photographs. If you use the table for dining, you could do what they do in hotels and set the table with the cutlery for the next meal as soon as one meal is over. It saves you a chore later on as well.

Were you aware that Eastern Equine Encephalitis can be transmitted to humans? It is rare, but mosquitoes can give humans EEE and at least one inhabitant of Middleborough can corroborate it. What is more EEE is worse for humans than West Nile Virus, which is spread by the same species of mosquito in the North East of the United States.

Eastern Equine Encephalitis attacks the brain and the nervous system and frequently either kills of leaves its victim in significant trouble.

The one man who is known to have been infected with EEE in NE America in August 2010, is still in a wheel chair a year afterward and there is no foreseeable end to his pain.

The symptoms of West Nile and Easter Equine are comparable to those of flu. The difference is that around 1% of those with WNF might die, but a lot more with EEE will almost certainly die. Around a third will suffer permanent brain injury

This situation can only become worse unless residents help by checking their gardens and close by waste ground for likely breeding sites and destroying them.
